Hello, we meet again. Sometimes it is hard to keep up with something although it might be something you really enjoy. This webpage is such an example for me. I have been photographing a lot since last and wanted to share how my street images have developed during the year. I hope you enjoy and yes, we will meet again.

Happy New Year!
It has been one year since I started this website and regularly started posting my images on Instagram. I have developed a lot as a photographer as well as a person during this time so this past Christmas I decided it was time for something new. I wanted a new username that better described me and my work. That username; @mysocialsolitude. With this I’m also trying to get a more consistent look to my images for everyone to recognize it as my original work.
The pictures in this post are almost all captured in december of 2017. I am really happy with my inspiration from that month and therefore have a lot of images to share.

This month has been busy and this means not very much time out and about with the camera. Most of the pictures have actually been captured in my home or just a few blocks away from it. As the light keeps disappearing (sunsets at 3 pm this time of year, in Sweden) the images are moody and darkish.
I have also come around to re-edit some images from a trip to Hong Kong a couple of years back (before my Fuji-days). I’m really happy with how they turned out so I have got to share a few of them too.

Yesterday I was in Ludvika, Sweden, to photograph the running race Gillermarksloppet.
The race is arranged by Källbottens IK and the profit goes to charity. I feel really privileged who got to photograph all the excitement and feelings that occur during a running race. This was the first time I was the photographer at a sports event and my ambition was to merge my fascination of documentary photography with my personal passion for running.
So here are my favorite pictures from the race.

These coordinates lead to Reykjavik, Iceland. This post will be a quick trip report from my June holiday in Iceland. The country and the landscapes are like nothing I have ever seen and should (according to me) be experienced by everyone. This post focuses on Iceland’s capital Reykjavik but I will post some landscapes as well. Reykjavik is a hip city that houses around two thirds of the population on Iceland. That’s about it for this time. I will let the images speak for themselves.

Time to think and contemplate all by oneself is a rarity these days. At least for me. Since I discovered photography I have also been starting to take more frequent walks and just bring my camera along for the ride. The more I do it, the more addicting it gets. What will I find the next time? The nature and urban environment is ever changing and opens new opportunities for photos every day. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, maybe not even exciting but that is part of why I find it interesting. This hunt also lets my mind relax and gets me that time to think. So try it out some time. Put your shoes on and bring a camera, who knows what you might find to take pictures of.

Minga, München, Munich. It’s a lot more than Oktoberfest and great beer. The third largest city in Germany, the capital of Bavaria and also my home this past autumn and winter. It feels very homelike; opening and welcoming. The urban area is beautiful and has been a great developing and inspiring factor for my photography. So here’s a shout-out: Travel to Munich! You won’t regret it.
Architecture
This is sort of a delayed trip report from back in March 2016 when I went to Chicago. The weather was grey but that provided me with an excellent chance just to focus on my photography with my newly acquired camera.
This was the first trip I took since I had bought into the Fujifilm lineup. In fact this trip was made less than a month after. For the images in this post I was using only the Fujifilm XF 18-55 f/2.8-4 – lens. Since this was the beginning of my time as a Fuji-photographer I was fascinated by the quality of images that the X-Trans sensor managed to produce.
Most of the time I walked around the streets shooting. The greyish weather led me into use the Black and White + Red filter film simulation. It actually started my entire black & white fascination, which in turn is perhaps the biggest reason for starting this blog! (So a thank you to the grey wether in Chicago) And from that side note back to my love for BW+R-filter. It gives such a great contrasty feel to the images and really makes the subject ‘pop’. For post production I have used Adobe Lightroom, no major editing mostly soma addition of clarity.

New Year, new gear. The Fujifilm XF16 lens is the latest addition to my collection. So far I’m REALLY impressed by the sharpness and rendition this lens has. It is reasonably sharp across the frame already on the largest apertures. Eventually I might write a more thorough review but here are some images I shot within the first few days.

Riding in the passenger seat of a car can turn out to be a terrific opportunity to find some new perspectives for personal inspiration and contemplation. This trip winded through the woods in the south of Sweden with terrific cold winter morning light (is that even a thing?)
